All obstructions in the river Ouse adjacent to the Newhaven Veolia ERF site at North Quay have been removed from the river and vessels may now navigate safely through the area.
The obstructions in the river had consisted of a pump with securing lines to both east and west banks located to assist East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service in tackling the fire at Skip It Containers yard during the week.
