Last week, NPP commisioned a big clean up of the Mill Creek from the Beach Road Level Crossing all the way through to the eastern end at Mill Drove.
Years of discarded waste was removed including old tanks, tyres, shopping trolleys, various items of scrap metal, huge amounts of plastic bags and bottles, fishing net and lots of other nasties!
There were large numbers of cut-up drain pipes in the mud which are assumed to be crab traps, which have now been removed.
Members of the public are reminded that they are not permitted to enter the creek for reasons of safety, environment and ecology. You are certainly NOT permitted to bait dig or use methods to catch fish or crustaceans. There are now regular patrols by the Environment Agency, Sussex Inshore Fisheries Conservation Authority and South Downs National Park Authority.

Our thanks go to Cutts Marine Services and BAM Nuttall for their assistance with this project.
