East Sussex County Council are experiencing some problems with the major repairs required following the severe flood damage on 6th December. It is hoped that repairs will be completed over the weekend and a test opening is scheduled for Monday 23rd December. In the meantime, the bridge remains closed to river traffic.
The A259 is not affected for road traffic.
