Two upcoming projects at Newhaven Port:-

1/. Newhaven Port & Properties Ltd is the statutory harbour authority for Newhaven Port, East Sussex, and is seeking a suitable consultant civil engineering company to carry out a feasibility study into upgrading the present quayside infrastructure to take significantly increased weights over the quayside. The study would include a report into the possibilities and the costs of implementing the actual engineering works to completion.

The timescales are tight and the successful consultants would need to be able to commence their studies immediately. Interested parties should send their expressions of interest together with a brief resume of experience within this field (no more than 3 pages of A4) to Julie.eason@newhavenportauthority.co.uk

The deadline for expressions of interest is 31st October 2014.

Acceptable candidates will then be invited to attend on site to assess the project and then submit tenders.

The study will be partially funded by an EU Interreg IVa Channel programme project called FLIP (Fostering Long Term Initiatives in Ports). The final report will be shared with our UK and French partners as the project aims to promote a sustainable cooperation between small & medium sized ports.

The successful applicant will have experience within the specialist field of Port Control building design and be able to bring the latest modern and eco-friendly designs to the table, utilising all possible renewable/green energy innovations, and to achieve project fruition within a feasible financial budget.

The timescales are tight and the successful applicants would need to be able to commence the design stage immediately and commence the building work in April 2015.
