To enable essential maintenance dredging operations at North Quay, the suction dredger has to transit the swingbridge northbound, dredge a load of material and then transit the swingbridge southbound. This has to occur over the high water period.
This means that for the next few days, there will be swingbridge openings at approximately 1 hour before each high water and then again approximately 1 hour after high water. This happens twice per day, and so there will be four openings per day.
It is anticipated that the dredging will be complete by the weekend.
The swingbridge opening times for this operation will be advertised at least 8 hours in advance.
